FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Stay equipped to fight fire with the proper extinguishing agent.
Overview
Fire Extinguishers are the first line of defense against small fires, allowing for escape from a dangerous situation, or providing a means to protect a space. However, not all fires burn the same. There are five different types of fires, with some fires requiring a specific extinguishing agent to extinguish them. Our experienced fire extinguisher technicians will work with you to determine which type of extinguishers are best suited for your place of business or property.
Whether you operate in a commercial kitchen or an industrial warehouse, we are equipped with a wide array of extinguishing agents to protect your people, your assets, and your company.
Fire Extinguisher Services We Provide
Fire Safety First has specialized in providing and servicing fire extinguishers for over 40 years. Over the years, we’ve seen what happens to fire extinguishers when they’re not properly maintained and the risks that come alongside such situations. We perform fire extinguisher inspections, fire extinguisher testing, fire extinguisher recharging, fire extinguisher repairs, and onsite fire extinguisher training, to keep people prepared for any emergency. When we work with you, we uphold our promise of safety by delivering equipment that is emergency ready.

Fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance require a licensed professional to certify that your facility’s fire extinguishers are located properly, accessible, and functional. We perform a thorough examination of the three basic elements of a fire extinguisher: mechanical parts, extinguishing agent, and expelling means. Our team of fire extinguisher technicians will guide you through the inspection process and assure you that you are in accordance with the California Code of Regulations Title 19 and NFPA 10 Standards.
Fire Safety First personnel will then provide you with a detailed report summarizing the fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance performed, to certify that your fire extinguishers are up to code.

Fire extinguishers require regular testing to be kept in optimal condition to meet local, State, and federal regulations. Testing intervals vary depending on the type of fire extinguisher and where it is located. As a full-service fire protection company, Fire Safety First provides clients with convenient fire extinguisher inspections, maintenance, and fire extinguisher testing.
We are certified to perform hydrostatic testing on low and high-pressure cylinders to evaluate the integrity of your fire extinguisher in accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 19, NFPA 10 Standards, and DOT requirements. When you contact us, we will help you determine what testing is required for your facilities’ fire extinguishers as well as provide any needed repairs.

- DOT Certified Facility

Fire extinguishers are required to be internally inspected and recharged after they have been discharged. A fire extinguisher recharge is performed even if the extinguishing agent has yet to be fully depleted. This is due to the loss of pressurization because of discharge.
Whether you’ve intentionally discharged a fire extinguisher or if recharging has been deemed necessary upon inspection, our fire extinguisher technicians will work with you to keep your space and people protected. Most often, our technicians can recharge fire extinguishers onsite, causing minimal disruption to your business or personnel.
